The meeting was called to order by Dale Burke, acting Chair at 7:30 p.m.

The first order of business was to approve the Bylaws with a friendly amendment to 1)  change the name of the group from NVUG, Northwest Voyager Users Group to NWEG, Northwest EndUsers Group and to 2) change the term of office for the Secretary-Treasurer so that the term starts in 2003.  Moved by Virgil Dedas and seconded by Sydney Chambers.  The motion passed.

Burke called for volunteers and nominations for Chair, Chair-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer.  The floor will be open to nominations before the vote is taken at the upcoming NWEG Spring 2003 meeting, May 15 - 16. 

The following people agreed to be candidates for office:

Secretary-Treasurer:     Lynne Bidwell, Lewis-Clark State College

Burke encouraged everyone to attend the upcoming NWEG Spring 2003 meeting scheduled for May 15 – 16, at Spokane Community College.  The information about the Spring 2003 meeting is posted on the NVUG web site.

Discussion ensued regarding the annual users meeting.  The NWEG web site can be used as a survey tool to find out which topics and presenters the group would like to see on the program.  The officers should be in charge of planning the annual users meeting. The annual meeting should be held in different geographical locations each year.  A committee to make local arrangements would be helpful.  The officers will need to discuss these issues after the election.

Burke asked what Endeavor products were currently being used:

Simul Search:  This is being used by WIN.
UB:  WIN has just purchased UB.
Encompass:  No one is using Encompass.
Image Server:  No one is using Image Server
Citation Server:  Intel is using Citation Server
