Minutes of the Northwest Voyager Users' Group Meeting

Stephanie Carter led the discussion. Monica Luce took notes. Discussion items included:

1) Logistics of the group. Organizing this conference would have been easier if there had been a more formal NVUG structure. Items to consider include: non-profit status, setup of a bank account for meeting registration fees, etc. 

A motion was made to adopt a formal structure with defined geographical boundaries.  The motion was carried.

It was suggested that we form two groups, one to work on developing bylaws, nominating officers, etc., and a second to work on planning the next conference.

Liz Best will set up discussion lists for these two groups so there will be an archive of discussion and decisions.

2) Learning Days. Endeavor is willing to schedule Learning Days which consist of show and tells of extension products by continuing sales staff.  These could be linked to a scheduled NVUGM or be entirely separate.

3) Certification Class. Interest was expressed in arranging a Certification training session in Washington State before VUGM.

4) Thanks. Stephanie Carter was thanked for her leadership in putting this meeting together.

5) Door Prizes. Door prizes including Amazon.com gift certificates and a personal CD player were awarded.
